First, login to your control panel and access the WordPress Toolkit.
Click ‘Check Security’ to scan your site.
Click the ‘Check Security’ button to refresh the scan and see what suggestions are available.
Click the checkbox next to any features you wish to enable and click ‘Secure’. The changes will be applied then return you to the menu.
Check that your site is still working correctly, in the rare occasions that a fault is caused, you can revert the changes by clicking the box and using the ‘Revert’ option.
Other key features to enable from the main Toolkit menu are Smart Update and Take over wp-cron.php.
